A well-connected member of the San Diego biotech and life sciences community, she combines deep sector knowledge with professional networks spanning regulatory bodies, academic institutions, and established biotech players. Sibylle is a corporate development and partnering executive with over 25 years in global pharma and emerging biotech, including nine years at Boehringer Mannheim/Roche. Her track record spans in-licensing, fundraising, strategic planning, and international commercialization — including a US biopharmaceutical product launch. In recent years she has focused on capital access and fundraising with an emphasis on Cell- and Gene Therapy (CGT) and Precision Medicine, holding senior roles at Open Biopharma Research & Training Institute and California Life Sciences, where she connected innovators with Seed and Series A capital and ran mentoring and US-access programs for European and Japanese accelerator cohorts. She founded and chairs the Women In Bio-Entrepreneur Center, serves on the Board of Directors at SiVEC Biotechnologies, and sits on the Investment Committee of the Gates Center for Regenerative Medicine at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Her deep expertise in helping first-time founders secure capital makes her a powerful bridge for European life sciences companies entering the US.
